When was the last time you were able to splurge on yourself? Or better yet, when was the last time you were able to spend a little money on something you wanted without having buyer’s remorse or the guilt of not using your money sagaciously?
Sometimes, we all have that “something” we want. That “something” that you know you may not necessarily need, but find every reason to justify why it’s a great idea. I laugh saying this because if we were in a room full of people and I asked if this has ever happened to anyone, your hand, my hand and everyone’s hand in the room would be held high.
So if you want to buy that special “something”, and don’t want to spill outside of your budget, here are some easy ways you can make some quick extra cash.
Rent a Spot: Do you have a parking spot in your garage? How about near a sports stadium? Whether it be for a night or even a month, if you have a parking spot you’re not using, rent it out! Parking spaces, especially in big cities are very sought after and can cost you a pretty penny. I’ve seen some parking garages that charge up to $400 for just one months rent!
Tutor: Do you have a high school diploma? If you’re good in Mathematics, English or Science, tutoring can be quite lucrative. For just a few hours’ work, you can earn the extra money to splurge on the handbag you saw in the store window while shopping. And, nowadays you don’t even have to leave your house – you can tutor online via Skype!
Online Surveys: No, I’m not talking about those pop-up’s that ask you to rate your shopping experience. There are online paid survey communities where you can influence future products and services by volunteering to participate in research. You get to voice your opinion and get paid!
Go on Trial: Do you like science? Have you ever been part of a clinical research experiment? There are a lot, and I mean a lot, of different types of trials out there. This might be a little out of your comfort zone but there are several easy, non-intrusive trials that you may find less daunting. Some clinical trials can pay as much as $50 – $300!
Donate It: Many people don’t know that you can actually earn money by donating your plasma. The average amount of money you can earn per plasma donation ranges from $20 – $50. Although, I have heard of some people who have received as much as $80-$100 per donation. While it may not be the most conventional way to earn a few extra bucks, it’s for a good cause.
If you’re still working, retired or just looking to make a few extra bucks, give one or two of these ideas a shot. It’s certainly not going to fund your entire retirement but it might help you start a vacation fund or not feel so guilty about indulging in some of the non-necessities your heart desires.
